A federal judge in Louisiana, Thomas Porteous Jr., is facing impeachment!

One of the reasons the Department of Justice didn't prosecute was that "alternative remedies," such as impeachment, were available. I've summarized the articles of impeachment here:

1. Failed to recuse himself from a case in which he had previously accepted money from a law firm involved.
2. Pattern of conduct demonstrates he is "[unfit] to serve." Among other things, he accepted "gifts and favors from a bail bondsman."
3. Personal bankruptcy case - In 2001-2004, "among other things, [concealed] assets and [used] a false name."
4. During the confirmation process in 1994, failed to reveal to the Senate, acceptance of gifts, etc., mentioned in article 2.

You'll want to keep an eye on this one. From the story:

"The debate will heat up in the next several weeks, as the House Judiciary Committee and then the House itself consider whether to adopt the four articles of impeachment."
